A musician since 1978, with professional affiliations from 1984 - 2000, Chris has been able to parlay his unique talent into a rewarding career encompassing both the music and production industries. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Chris's broadcast career began at the city's PBS affiliate in 1984 where he became the Assistant Director for the nationally produced and highly acclaimed Jacksonville Jazz Festival, featuring such acts as Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzgerald, Pat Metheny, Dave Brubeck, etc. He joined White Hawk Pictures in 1994 where he was the creative force behind several broadcast campaigns like PBS's Grilling with Chef George Hirsh and The Grid Iron with Mark Brunell, a Jacksonville Jaguars NFL quarterback.

In 1995 Chris and a partner founded Hacking Cat Productions, which he continues to manage, bringing national-caliber performers to North Florida. Notables include: Pierce Pettis, Chris Smither, Slaid Cleaves, Steve Forbert, Jonathan Richmond, Vassar Clements, The Everybodyfields, Stacey Earle and Mark Stuart, Adrian Legg, etc.

Finding the perfect match for his multi-faceted career with production company Digital Video Arts in 2002, his love and intimate knowledge of Americana Roots Music culminated in 2006 with the Nationally Broadcast PBS Documentary, Music Farmers. Chris produced and directed the film which explores the past, present and future of roots music at bi-annual festivals held on the banks of the Suwannee River in Live Oak, Florida. Heartfelt performances and completing interviews illustrate the magical spirit and vibe of the festivals and its patrons.
