THE FACILITY - LAYOUT

"This is the fourth DVA facility we've built," says DVA President Tony Haines. "One mistake I will never make again is hiding wires. All wires are out in the open using cable trays and color-coded wiring."

Digital Video Arts' new 15,000 square-foot video production facility houses today's most innovative technologies for broadcast film production, post-production, still photography, commercial production, audio production, television production, music composition and much more. Do not be misled by the presence of our technology. The design of the DVA production facility was not to showcase our hardware. Our new video and commercial production facility inspires communication between the artists and their clients. We learned from our 15 years of experience as a creative content provider that every project has the best chance for success when the workflow is efficient and seamless. Thank you visiting our website. Please read about the details of our video production facility below.

When you arrive, you walk through the front doors of the new Digital Video Arts facility into a unique floor plan designed to enhance creativity and promote collaboration. When you bring your video or multi-media production projects to DVA, not only do you get the benefit of our state-of-the-art facilities, you get a team of audio production, video production and motion graphics personnel supported by the best professionals at every level in the business. You will love our video and commercial production facility's open interior architecture, dramatic colors and artistic textures. The creator of our ingenious design and inspiring layouts had your production projects in mind. Meticulous attention to detail complements Digital Video Art's corporate mantra: "Collaborate - Create - Communicate."

A central common-area in the video and commercial production building houses the high-definition screening room with theater-style seating for 24, a bistro bar and lounge, two art gallery halls and a wooden deck that overlooks a wildlife preserve. We even cut back on the production facility's parking spaces to allow for a larger protected wildlife and natural green area. From a technology point of view, Digital Video Arts has always tried to stay near the leading edge. Almost 15 years ago, DVA was the region's first Sony DigiBeta house. Now, all the members of your video production team can create, collaborate and communicate using DVA's HD technology in a digital workflow environment that is logical, practical and efficient.

We dedicated the east wing at Digital Video Arts' new video and commercial production facility to Post-Production. The east wing showcases your high-definition edit suites, audio sweetening and music scoring suites. Surrounding the central core of the east wing, you will also find a graphics/composition area with one interactive media suite. Each suite features a large HD monitor mounted on a dark neutral grey wall for your use. The serenity of the DVA art gallery continues from the main hallway right into your editing suite.

Your post-production suite features two distinct work areas. One work area provides ample space for your editor and the other work area furnishes you with a larger space to spread out during post-production. You sit face-to-face with your editor and you both have controls for your individual sound zone. The design of each suite is technically generic. Almost any system that you can dream up is a snap to change out and set up. Efficient mounting of the edit systems on a half rack with wheels allow you easy access for maintenance or rapid change outs. Built into a mini-closet for convenience, the new DVA video production center uses powered supply vents at the base of the mini-closets to keep your equipment cool.

The new video production facility provides ample space for shared drives, decks and monitors. For efficiency, we designed the post-production areas around a central core. That way, everything is located close to all the video and film editing suites. Since there are no machines in the suites, editors never have to go far to find a tape deck. As an added benefit, your producers will have enough workspace to log tapes and get organized without interrupting others working around the core.

We dedicated the west wing at Digital Video Arts' new video and commercial production facility to Production. You will find ample office area for staff and a full-feature prep kitchen for onsite food styling. Our green room provides a professional makeup station and private bath for your convenience. The west wing also houses our 1,200 square-foot sound stage for shooting your HD video and digital still photographs. We look forward to seeing you in the west wing soon!

The feature room of the new Digital Video Arts production facility is the comfortable 24-seat theater. Our spectacular viewing area is equipped with a SONY HD projector, top of the line OKYO amp, Blue Ray, and best of all, your movies can roll from the central core or media server. Recently, DVA produced and previewed a trailer for famous diver-cinematographer Wes Skiles. After the video screening, Wes had a minor change requiring video editing. The film editor, using his remote access software, made the change on the Avid. Bingo! The editor was done and Wes was quite impressed.
